Salt Bath Explosion Investigation- Chemical Accident Reconstruction

An aerospace parts factory used a molten salt bath to remove oil and scale from specialized parts made from titanium alloys. The process involved making sure the parts were dry first, placing them in a basket, and then submerging the basket in the molten salt for a period of time. In one of these cycles, the salt bath exploded. Chemaxx was hired to determine the cause of the explosion. The results of the investigation are confidential.
